The Carracci brothers Annibale and Agostino and their cousin Ludovico, were active in Bologna and Rome during the second half of the 16th Century, and are considered to be precursors of the Baroque style.
They were very prolific artists and left us a great number of drawings: preparatory drawings for important commissioned works, portraits of friends, sympathetic quick fresh sketches of common people.
The range of styles and techniques and level of talent exhibited in these fresh works is quite remarkable and this session of “Drawing with…”, is dedicated to copying a few of their masterful artworks.
