This course is specifically designed for the students that want to approach the practice of figure drawing systematically, starting from a solid foundation that can later give them access to more advanced and specific courses on the figure.
During this six, online sessions course, of the duration of 3 hours each, the students will practice measuring, tonal rendering, structural rendering of the figure, practice a variety of techniques traditionally used for figure drawing, practice gestural drawing for quick sketches that capture the essence and dynamism of the pose and practice drawing the figure with more slow and deliberate techniques to create realistic artworks. Essential elements of anatomy will also be discussed in this course.
