More and more frequently, the students enrolled in my online Art courses express the desire to enroll in a Figure Drawing class with a model in studio, so I got busy looking for a venue that is both attractive and at manageable distance from NY, NY, and PA.

Lambertville is a lovely small town in New Jersey on the beautiful Delaware river, on the opposite bank, in the Pennsylvania side, is another nice small town: lively New Hope.

Lambertville and New Hope are a destination for weekend tourists attracted by restaurants and café’, antique stores, art galleries and other shopping and entertainment options.

Visitors can also take pleasant strolls along the Delaware-Raritan canal or Delaware river.

During one of my visits to Lambertville, I visited the Kelly Sullivan Fine Arts & Fingersmears, and Kelly, one of the talented artists active there, agreed to lend me her lovely studio for a weekend workshop.

We will be working with a model.
A few days ahead of the workshop, I will send the participant a video where I discuss a few essential aspects of figure drawing including drawing demonstration that the students can follow for practice.
During the workshop, we will practice a variety of drawing techniques, such as graphite pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, Conte crayon but watercolor is also welcome.
The poses will vary in length, from quick gestural poses to longer ones.
