Drawing Foundation Series: The Bargue Method #296

This course, part of the “Foundation Series”, is dedicated to one of the most known drawing methods famously taught in the French Academies during the 19th century and it is still perfect for the artists that want to approach drawing using a methodical approach that was at the base of the artistic training for artists like John Singer Sargent,  Vincent Van Gogh, that studied and practiced this method.

During the two hours of each of the 6 session of this course, we will create a number of drawings copying a few Bargue plates and also photos of casts I will provide.

The Bargue method will help you to develop technical land observational skills, that you can then apply to any subject you might want to depict in your artwork in fact, this is one of the methods that should be part of the technical foundation of the dedicated figurative or and realist artists.
