Aesthetic Anatomy Workshop @ Studio Incamminati
The complex and fascinating forms of the human body have been at the center of artist’s interest for millennia and to this day the human figure is still one of the main subjects for innumerable artists. The human figure is the perfect eternal subject, as artists, we are attracted to it because of the infinite possibilities of artistic visualization it can offer: body in movement, at rest, in foreshortening, with light from various directions to create plays of light and shadow that can give us innumerable, unpredictable aesthetic or expressive possibilities.
The human form expresses what I like to define as inherent aesthetics that can be perceived instinctually. These inherent aesthetics can be explored more in depth, studying its structure and anatomy, with the final goal of improving our artwork, making it more realistic, expressive, and convincing.
This workshop focuses on discovering these aesthetics, drawing male and female models in a variety of poses and light sources, practicing to capture their forms using a variety of technical approaches.
