Quick Ink Sketches #307

This 3 sessions courses focuses on a sketching method that has been widely used for creating quick studies, compositional sketches, recording fleeting moments or narrative content, using watercolor or ink washes and pen and nibbling for details. This technique is also perfect for the traveling artist because it requires only a pad of paper, a brush, ink or a couple of tubes of watercolor.
During the three sessions of this short course, we will copy works by artists that created many artworks with this technique, such as Goya, Guercino and Edward Lear.

Materials:

A round watercolor brush, synthetic or kolinsky, number 8 or 10. A small bottle of brown ink and/or brown a watercolor tube in burnt umber or sepia.
Pen and nib and finally a pad of drawing paper such as Strathmore drawing in medium texture finish
